RADIO FOR RWANDA is tomorrow!

Guys. This is serious.

Tomorrow, from noon until midnight, I’ll be on the air at www.WLFMradio.com - that’s right, twelve hours of straight radio. No breaks, no pauses, no chaser. Get ready

We’ll be raising money for GlobeMed, an organization that’s been partnered with Health Development Initiative to teach sexual education to youths in Rwanda. It’s a real organization that many people I personally know are involved in - some of whom have actually gone to Rwanda to help out with this thing.

But. From noon until midnight we’ll be on air, attempting to raise money for this cause. I’ve got all kinds of great guests planned - musical acts, talking, jokes. What? Is that not enough? Okay, how about we shave a grown man’s chest on air? What? That’s not enough? Okay, how about we do a cover of California Dreamin’ including the flute solo? WILL THAT BE ENOUGH? BECAUSE THERE IS MORE!

I URGE you to listen in at some point during the marathon and PLEASE donate what you can. It would mean the world to mean.

I understand how Tumblr/social media works. You see a thing, and then you kind of forget about it and move on with your day. I’m aware that that’s how the internet works. But the internet also has capabilities to share some pretty amazing things - this is one of them. I truly believe that this event can make a difference, and even if one person who follows me on here listens in, that will make a difference. So please, make a point to tune in while you’re sitting around tomorrow. You won’t regret it.

Anybody who’s listened to my show ON PATROL even once knows that my intro music is “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals, and I think it’s about time I shared this truly horrifying music video they did for the song. The lead vocalist, whom I believe is Eric Burden, looks terrifying. If you haven’t seen this, you’re doing yourself a disservice, and if you’re about to watch it, don’t plan on sleeping tonight.
